More needle felting and knitting up on Etsy

Here are two new listings for my Etsy shop, Artnest. One is a needle felted pin in the shape of a house with embroidery and seed beads. The other is a hand knit scarf with fabulous colors which are good for chasing away the winter blues.

Knitting Season Begins

With the cooler weather and changing leaves I've started to cozy up inside with my balls of yarn and knitting needles. Here's my first hat of the season. It's made from a variety of yarns I had in the scrap basket. I'm pleased with the colors and the way it turned out.

Handwarmers

There's getting to be a nip in the air so that's when I get out my knitting needles and start to cozy up with the cat. Here are some new handwarmers I've made. There are available to buy at my etsy store. They are made of a yummy wool called manos del uruguay. It's kettle dyed and has slight variations in color. They are very soft and warm.

Wasn't it just summer?

The Museum of Kitschy Stitches

It's a book and a blog and is so fabulous: The Museum of Kitschy Stitches: A gallery of Notorious Knits by Stitchy McYarnPants. This is the kind of stuff people used to knit and crochet when I was learning to knit. No wonder I wasn't excited about it...The yarns available back then were not very interesting...no wonder there has been a renaissance of knitting and crochet...the patterns and yarns are so much fun now. I enjoy making things with my hands, especially after working at a computer all day.
