Happy Summer Solstice!

Here is how I spent the summer solstice...In the Fremont Solstice Parade. It is truly one of the highlights of the summer in Seattle. People wear body paint and ride bikes, others are in colorful and imaginative costumes. It is a creative event I participate in every year. The Solstice Parade is one of the reasons I'm glad I live in Seattle.

Solstice parade dress






More ice queens at rehearsal above.


I'm having the best time making my paper dress to wear in the Fremont Solstice Parade. I'm in the Ice Queen ensemble and I'm playing the part of the Seamstress. This is the dress in the early stages...I'll show more pictures later.
